IJS Open Competition 2018 Update

Thank you to all the skaters who took part in the 2018 MKISC IJS Competition.  You helped make it a successful and enjoyable two days and we look forward to seeing you again next year. Congratulations from everyone at MKISC and MKISS to all the winners and to everyone achieving a personal goal whether that is a trophy, test pass or your first competition entry.

The Boris Uspenski Cup is a new award created by MKISC.   At the IJS Open competition 2018 it was awarded to the MK Skater achieving the highest performance score which is Tarren Mayer.  The award will be presented to Tarren at a Club session soon.  Well done Tarren ! And well done Tabitha who is her MKISS coach.

Welcome to Milton Keynes Ice Skating Club

Milton Keynes Ice Skating Club is a self-funded organisation run by a voluntary committee, with a current membership of 60 skaters of all ages.  The club is an affiliated member of NISA, the governing body for ice skating in the UK.
We welcome new members who have passed their Skate UK level 4.

MKISC allows skaters the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive, friendly and fun environment and to take part in all club activities.  These include Club Competitions, Galas, themed club nights such as Halloween and Christmas and various social events.

We have a team of professional coaches from MK ISS who lead the sessions and provide a fun learning experience.

Our Clubs’ regular ice time is on a Friday afternoon from 4:45pm until 6:15pm

The session is split into three:

4:45-5:30pm Free skate

5:30-5:45pm Warm up with coaches

5:45-6:15pm Group lesson with coaches

In addition to training, we also use club ice for various fun activities and games to celebrate events such as Christmas, Easter and Halloween and to raise money for local charities such as the Food Bank
Club membership is currently full.  New applications will be added to the waiting list.  Please email us to register a place on the waiting list.
